You are an Emerging Leader

What Your Results Mean:

Your results suggest that you are in an active stage of leadership development.

You are likely already aware of the importance of emotional intelligence, self-leadership, and relational clarity — and you may be practising these consciously in some areas of your life and leadership.

At the same time, under sustained pressure or responsibility, older patterns such as self-reliance, emotional containment, or control may still take over.

This is not a contradiction.

It is a developmental stage.

Many capable, conscientious leaders score in this range — particularly those who have learned to lead by taking responsibility early and performing reliably over time.

At this stage, leadership development is less about learning what to do, and more about strengthening how consistently inner capacities are available when they are most needed.

You may notice:

  • emotional awareness that is present but not always accessible under pressure
  • strong values, with occasional misalignment in demanding situations
  • a desire to lead with greater steadiness, clarity, or relational presence
  • curiosity about how your internal patterns shape your leadership

These are signs of growth, not gaps.

What May Be Helpful at This Stage

Leaders in this stage often benefit from:

  • structured reflection rather than more information
  • developing emotional regulation that holds under pressure
  • strengthening inner authority alongside external leadership
  • creating coherence between values, behaviour, and presence

This work is developmental. It does not require fixing what is broken — only refining what is already emerging.

An Optional Next Step

Some leaders at this stage choose to engage in a more structured form of leadership development, designed to strengthen emotional intelligence, self-leadership, and inner coherence.

Others prefer to begin with a conversation to clarify what their next developmental edge may be.

If you would find it helpful to explore this further, you are welcome to do one of the following:

  • learn more about a structured leadership development pathway
  • or request a private conversation to reflect on your results

Both options are available, and there is no expectation to proceed beyond what feels appropriate for you.

Testimonials

I’m delighted with the results we’ve achieved in such a short space of time. I highly recommend Piers as a practitioner…

Piers’ approach to emotional healing work is slow, compassionate and informed by experience. He moves carefully with the client through the sensitive areas of emotional wounding, using his skillful approach to heal, repair and (my words) “reprogram” memories from the past so that they have no hold over one’s thoughts, feelings and behaviour in the present day.
